The property was also known by another name, “Bakhtawar,” and has long been associated with the Tata legacy. The lease agreement is reportedly for five years, running from October 2024 to October 2029. The agreement also includes a 10 percent rent escalation every three years. Additionally, a security deposit of ₹10 crore has been paid as part of the transaction.
The lease transaction has been executed through a company named Ewart Investments, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. This company has leased the property to Tata Sons Private Limited. Along with the property itself, several household items and fittings have also been included in the agreement for the bungalow in Mumbai. These include a kitchen chimney, wooden tables, beds, a coffee table, sofas, cabinets, CCTV cameras, six air conditioners, a portable AC unit, wardrobes, and a TV cabinet. With these amenities, the bungalow in Mumbai represents both luxury and prestige.
